We were blessed with classic and evergreen songs
like seun rere, can’t change a man, teta nu na ula and many more during the 80s
by Christy Essien Igbokwe.
Christy became a top-ranked Nigerian musician during
the 1980s as she worked her way to the top which was then held by strong male musicians
then. She endeavoured to give Nigerians songs they can boggy down to and also
songs that gave wisdom.
Through her songs, she passed massages like charity,
gender equality and many more topics that are still discussed till date.
Born on the 11th of November1960 Christy Igbokuwe lived a full life and passed-on on the 30th of June 2011 leaving behind several inspirational songs that will continue to live on, you can check them all out on various online music platforms.
