On the 15th of February 2021, Dr Ngozi
Okonjo-Iwela made history as she became the first African woman to be chosen as
the Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
In reaction to this great news, many Nigerian women began and participated in the #BELIKENGOZICHALLENGE on Twitter, which required women to dress up like Dr. Ngozi not forgetting her signature headgear.
The challenge was made to honour Dr Ngozi for her act of bravery, diligence, and integrity which gave her the opportunity to become the first African woman to Direct the WTO.
