Over the past few weeks, we have shared healthy meal ideas such as baked plantain and fried eggs, healthy
ways to eat sweet potato, and eating beans. These were all to help us stay fit
and possibly lose weight if we choose.
Let us be honest with
ourselves, we Nigerians are not the healthiest eaters. We take junks at will, pasties in “show
glass” by the street, a gala in traffic, and very chilled carbonated drinks are
our go-to snack on a daily, before we know it we have pot bellies and call
ourselves curvy.
There is nothing wrong with being curvy, but
there is everything wrong with being unhealthy. We’ve heard them preach about
fitness and workout, but trust me for a hustling Nigerian a work-out session at
the gym is not cheap whereas eating healthy in Nigeria can be very tricky and
sometimes expensive.
We will continue to share more healthy eating ideas on this platform to manage calories and still eat what you
want.
Watch this space to keep healthy.
