7 Fun Fact About Sound Sultan

We never expect the good ones to die young, this was the same expectation every Nigerian who had the opportunity to hear Sound Sultan's debut single 'janbajantis" had for him, he was the cool guy in the industry.  Olanrewaju Fasasi passed-on on Sunday the 11th of July 2021, the news was released on social media by one of his siblings, find more details about his death Here.

Simply because Sultan lived a beautiful life, he was a multitalented singer, songwriter, rapper, and comedian. We should remember his legacy, not his passing, so here are seven fun facts about Sound Sultan.

Fact 1: Sultan was born into a family of eight, he had five siblings, and was the fourth child of six children.

Fact 2: The hip-hop music pacesetter had always loved the entertainment industry right from a young age, he would perform mimicry at school parties, and learnt how to play the guitar,  he looked up to his big brother who was already in the music industry. 

Fact 3: Sultan was the brother of the veteran music producer and musician, BabaDee.

Fact 4: He realised his first song at the age of 24 in the year 2000, the song Jagbajantis became an immediately became a hit, thereafter he was signed to the popular music label Kennis music.

Fact 5: Olanrewaju studied Geography and Regional Planning and obtained his degree from the prestigious University Of Lagos. 

Fact 6: He was a sport's man, before diving into the entertainment industry, Sultan used to play Basket Ball. His love for the sport drove him to have his own basketball team in Lagos, named Lagos City Stars, he did this with the collaboration of the Continental Basket Ball League.

Fact 7: After his contract with Kennis Music was over, he came together with his brother to own a record Label, they called it Naija Ninjas, the freedom of having his own record level made him explore other music genres, like fuji, soul music, and R&B.

Right now it is a sad time for every of his family, friends and fans, he left a hole in every heart but it should be filled with the thoughts that he used his talent to bless his generation.
