5 Veteran Actresses We Miss On Our Screens

 

For those of us born in the 70s down to the late 90s, we definitely had our favourites in the movies industry, back then we were engrossed by soap operas and movies that made our stomachs rumble with laughter, we always look forward to the time our favourite show will be played in the evening, it was such a time to be alive. It is not so anymore, thanks to the ease of technology we can watch our movies whenever and where ever we want, but we do miss those actresses that made the golden times amazing. 

Today's article is a nostalgic one, we are going down memory lane, you'll be seeing 10 different actresses that made those times fun, we don't see them anymore or as often as we used to on-screen. this is going to be fun, let's go.

1) Taiwo Ajai Lycett

 She is a dazzling actress, if you watched The Lion and the Jewel Everlasting life, you will remember her, she came into the industry during the stage play era, I then transitioned into Tv soap opera. We miss her arts and 

2) Gloria Young

The first movie that should come to mind when you hear the name Gloria Young should be Glamour Girls, she and many other veterans made the movie such a memorable one, she is an amazing actress with several movies to her name, if you can't remember most of her movies, you at least she appeared in some recent movies like Half of a Yellow Sun in 2013 and Kpali in 2019. Although her husband is still a bit active in the industry we miss her on our screens.

3)  Euchaira- Anunobi Ekuwu 

She was a mega superstar in her time, she was in every movie you can watch whether as the main actress or as one of the minor actresses she was made the late 80s and early 90s fun. some of her movies include Not Without My Sister, Desperate Sister, Abuja Connection, and many more. should we wish for a come back from her or show we just let her enjoy her space, give your feedback in the comment section.

4)  Ngozi Ezeonu

When you google Ngozi Ezeonu's movies, tons of movies will appear. she was very active in her days, the kind of actress that endeavoured to make a landmark in the industry. It has been a while since we saw her on our screen, the major movie she appeared in was Lion Heart which was in 2018. we hope she is fine living life out of all the showbiz, but seeing her again will be a treat for us.

5)  Hilda Dokubo

Beautiful and amazing is what many who watched Hilda will describe her as, she had that look that told you she is here to give you her all in this movie. Many will never forget movies like 21 Days with Christ or End of Wickedness where she made sure her characters were well interpreted. she has many movies to her name, the last time she was sighted in a major blockbuster was in the movie Locked back in 2019. we hope she is doing fine in her space outside the media.

6) Carol King

I spent your young years watching Everyday people, then you must love Carol King, she is a spectacular actress, although she is still active in the industry with the Tv series Tinsel but she not as active as we want right, she more famous for soap operas but she also acted in some movies like The Gods Are Not To Blame, Alero's Symphony, just to name a few. we will still hold on to her appearances in Tinsel with hopes that she will take on more projects.

7) Patience Ozokwor 

AKA Mama G she's the most loved villain in the Nigerian movie industry during her active years, I'm sure most of us thought she was wicked in person, this shows how well she plays her role. We do miss her evil plots and intentions in movies. The last major role she played was a maid in the movie Chief Daddy, we hear that the movie is shooting its part 2 and we hope to see Mama G there, but for now, we sincerely miss her.
