Nigerian Food: Healthy Nigerians; Leafy Vegetables



Nigerians love vegetables, we cook ours and make it into soups, so there are various recipes for different types of vegetable soup. Unfortunately, we do not eat enough vegetable, according to Punch Newspaper, only 19% of Nigerians eat vegetables on a daily.


Vegetables have various nutritional values which include; protein, carbohydrates, fibre, fat, and many others. Leafy vegetables are as affordable in Nigeria as much as it is nutritious, although there are various types of vegetables which include, waterleaf, spinach, ugwu, bitter leaf, scent leaf, many more. One can get any type of vegetable for as low as 100naira
.

We understand that people are busy and might not be able to sit to cook, but with vegetables there’s no excuse, under 20mins you can have your vegetable soup, you can add some crunchy vegetables to your stir-fry noodles, or pasta, eat the vegetable soup with solid food or even have your soup alone.
