How to make Nigerian Pepper Soup

 

Nigerian Pepper soup has a signature taste, a taste that once you have a sip of it you can’t stop. one can give credit to the unique pepper soup mix that is added to the dish, the chilly hot taste, and the enticing aroma. Today, we’ll learn how to make Nigerian Pepper soup.

Ingredients:
  • Catfish ( 1 medium size)
  • 4 tablespoons of Pepper soup mix
  • 4 scent leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered pepper
  • 4 seasoning cubes
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 ball of onion
  • 3 litres of water
 
Process;

Wash your catfish with lime and alum (this is to wash the sliminess of the fish off) after washing place into a large pot, slice your onions into the pot, add 3 seasoning cube, salt, and the 3 litres water. Place the pot on medium heat and cook for 10mins, after 10mins, add your pepper soup mix, 
powdered pepper, garlic and ginger powder, the scent leaves, and the last cube of seasoning powder. Cook the soup on low for another 10mins and your pepper soup is ready.


You can now serve and enjoy this spicy soup with a cool drink.
