Nigerian Food: How To Bake Homemade Agege Bread


How to bake your own made Agege Bread.

The Agege bread is a popular type of Nigerian bread that has gained the love of many Nigerian over the years. The bread is great when eaten with moimoi, stew, beans and/or soft drinks. 

Below are quick tips on how to bake your homemade Agege bread.

Ingredients:

- Flour

- Olive Oil

- Yeast 

- Milk

- Eggs

- Salt

- Sugar or honey

- Water



Directions:

- Dissolve the yeast with warm water, preferably in a small bowl and add sugar to sweeten. Leave for 5-7 minute to foam.

- Mix all dry ingredients in another bowl and add sugar or honey, salt and flour.

- Beat your eggs and add some milk in a separate bowl.

- Use your hand or electric mixer to mix both the wet and dry ingredients together to make a soft dough.

- Place the flour on a flat surface and knead properly, then further place in a greased pan to rise for about 1-2 hours.

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and place the dough inside the oven to bake for 30-40 minutes.

- Bring out the bread from the oven and serve hot or cold.
