Nigeria is blessed with diversity and grace. Nigeria has several markets in Nigeria both big and small. Some do a 5 market days practise while others, every day of the week. We usually practice the open market strategies which allow people to bring their goods to one location where buyers come to buy what they need; malls and marts recently came into light here.

On today’s tourism in Nigeria, we look at the top 3 Nigerian markets, which is cherished by indigenes and constantly visited by tourists.

1)      Idumota Market:

Located in southwest Nigeria, Lagos state. Idumota market is a top-list market anywhere in Nigeria. You can find anything you want here, clothes, food, provisions, or books, just name it you’ll find it here.

2)      Onitsha Market:

The Onitsha market is very famous and very large. Its name has been mentioned in several works of literature and it is located in Southern Nigeria Anambra state, this market gets its fame from being the home to imported used clothes popularly called Okirika. Asides the second-hand clothes, several goods are also sold there.

3)      Kurmi Market:

The Kurmi market is considered to be the oldest market in Kano state, located in Northern Nigeria, this market is visited by all. There are sales of different commodities in these markets, but if you are looking for rich Nigerian spices you’ll find it here.
