Just
like you know, on Awe little farmer, we share how to plant vegetables, roots, and other plants in containers when there is no farmland. Today we are planting the
Ugwu vegetable. This vegetable is very famous in Nigeria because it is used as ingredients
in various dishes, from soups to stir fry spaghetti, Ugwu is welcomed.
To plant Ugwu you need;
- A sack
- Ugwu seed
- Soil
- water.
- Put soil into your sack, the soil should only fill half of the sack.
- Place your seed into the soil around 3 inches deep.
- Cover-up the seed with soil and water.
The seed germinates between 10 -14days and the Ugwu is ready in 3 weeks. If
you want your Ugwu growing with big leaves and a pumpkin at the end, water day
and evening, fertilize it every other week and tag the vine to a stick at the 2nd
to 3rd week. You will be amazed at how your sack planted Ugwu will
turn out.
Plant
Ugwu today!
