Nigerian Agriculture: Plant Tomatoes in A Bucket Today Awe Little Farmers. (S2)

Today’s little farmer plant is Tomato

Tomatoes is a widely consumed vegetable in Nigeria. It is used in ingredients for soups, salads and sometimes eaten raw.

Growing a tomato in your backyard or balcony is actually easy. Tools needed includes:

A large paint bucket (20liters create 4-5 drainage) or a plant pot.

*Good loamy soil or any kind of good soil you can get, (tomatoes aren’t picky).

*Fertilizer.

*Tomato seeds.

*Water

Pour your soil into your paint bucket or plant pot, mix the soil with fertilizer, dig a 3inch hole in the soil and add your seed then cover-up and water.

Place your container in a sun assessable location and make sure to water day and evening. The tomato should take 6 to 8 weeks to grow and harvest, you can also do this in multiples. Soon you’ll start eating your own tomatoes.
