Nigerian Hair Style: Knotless Braids

Knotless braids are the existence of braids without the knot at the base.

The style looks like the braids are coming from your scalp but without the knot or tension.

Materials:

1. Holding hair gel/cream/oil

2. Prestreched braiding hair (4 - 7 packs)

3. Picking comb (Ilarun)

Procedure:

Step 1 - Detangle your hair.

Step 2 - Blow dry your hair (Optional but helps it look neater for longer).

Step 3 - Divide your braiding hair into some small pieces and some medium pieces.

Step 4 - Part your hair into your desired sections, triangles or squares parts and add the gel/cream/oil to the base.

Step 5 - Crisscross 3 strands of your real hair 2x/3x.

Step 6 - Feed in the small pieces of braiding hair between your index and middle finger as you crisscross your hair. Add 3 small pieces of feed-in hair to secure the base.

Step 7 - Continue braiding the hair without feeding in any hair, after about 3 crisscrosses, feed in the medium pieces of hair but this time in between your thumb and index finger and twist along the right and middle strand whilst crisscrossing.

Step 8 - Continue braiding the hair and repeat step 4 as needed.

Duration

4 to 6 weeks (Depending on maintenance).

PS: Make sure you wrap your hair at night with a silk scarf or satin/silk bonnet.
