Step 1
Choose a pineapple that
is healthy and leafy, cut the pineapple at least 2 inches below the leaves and
let the top dry for two days, after the top has been dried; remove the skin of
the pineapple and also seven layers of leaves this way the steam of the pineapple
is exposed.
Submerge the stem of
the pineapple in a cup of water for 2 weeks, place it in a location that receives
sunlight and after 2 weeks you will see the pineapple top begin to take roots
but it is best that you let it sit in water for at least 4 weeks this way your pineapple top has more roots.
Step 3
After 4 weeks in water,
transplant your pineapple roots in a container that contains rich soil and
compost, dig your soil at least 3 inches deep and place your pineapple roots in
the soil, cover the roots exposing only the leafy part above the soil.
Step 4
Place your plant at a location
that has just enough sunlight, not too much, and not too small.
Step 5
Lastly water your plant frequently at least 5times a week, add the water directly on top of the leaves. Pineapple takes 24 months to grow from the top of another pineapple to it is best to plant at least ten top at once making the wait worth the while.
