I Bought These Onions ₦70....Farmers are losing money-Twitter User

 

The recent situation of the diversion of the food products from Northern Nigeria away from the SouthWest Nigeria is creating a bit of concern amongst the people.

It all started on the 26^th of February when the Mayetti Allah group blocked truckloads of foodstuff going to the southwest from the north, they stopped the truck just before it reaches Kwara state, stating that no food products will go the south west until the Fulanis in the southwest are safe.

As a result of this action, food products have become expensive in the southwest but most importantly they have become startling cheaper in the North. A Twitter user post the number of onions he bought In the north for just ₦70, he continued to say that he was also given free tomatoes also.

The User stated that farmers losing money as regards to the cost of production and time that goes into planting and harvesting the food products, to then sell it at such an amount.

There have been rumors that the food hoard has been stopped but there been no the official address of the rumor by the Mayetti Allah group.
