Plant Banana in a Pot

 I am sure you must have been surprised when you saw the headline like how do you actually plant banana in a pot? Well it absolutely possible, you can grow banana in a Pot right on your balcony, follow the steps below and you can start eating your own fresh and ripe banana soon.

Tools:

  • Banana seeds (a dwarf type of banana)
  • Soil (a little sandy kind of soil mixes it with compost or fertilizer, and do not use sandy soil)
  • Pots or container that 20 inches (with drainages)
  • Waters

Planting

Soak your banana seeds in warm water for at least 24-48hours this will help it germinate easily. Empty the soil in the container, dig the soil 2inches deep add the seed to it cover it up with the soil and water, do not try to drench but make the soil moist.

The seeds should sprout between 4 to 6 weeks, once it is sprout make sure you begin to find a bigger container if you used smaller container at the start because you will need to transplant, if you used a bigger container then there is no need to worry.

Banana takes just 2 months to bear fruit after it has brought out flower, this is within 8 months to 10 months within those months feed your plant with fertilizer, sun and enough water, banana lover water, and sun. Once you notice your banana is being infected by pest use pesticide on it, give your plant the utmost care and you love your bananas during the harvest period.
