Plant Pawpaw in a container

Pawpaw is a very delicious fruit especially when ripe, and when fairly ripe it is crunchy and has a unique taste. It absolutely accepted if you were surprised about this discovery, but as surprising as it sounds it is absolutely true. Follow the steps below and you will have Pawpaw growing in your balcony soon.

Tools:

  • Pawpaw  seeds (a dwarf type of pawpaw)
  • Soil (a little sandy kind of soil mixes it with compost or fertilizer, and do not use sandy soil)
  • Pots or container that 20 inches (with drainages)
  • Waters

Planting:

Get ripe pawpaw and cut it in half, take out the seeds, then fill ¼ part of your container with stones and sand so that water will flow out easily through the drainage below, then the remaining part with soil mixed with organic compost or fertilizer, fill it to the brim.

Sprinkle the seeds on the soil and compost then try to mix them with the soil lightly, just to incorporate them with the soil. Then water it, water it for 3 weeks, try not to overwater it.

After 2 weeks you will find the plants sprouting, leave it for another 2 weeks afterwards pick out the unhealthy plants and leave the healthy plants, save at least five till they start to flower. Leave them to grow, and between 3-6 months you’ll have your yellow pawpaw.
