Planting is easy but where to plant might be the issue, this is why we give you tips on how to plant in a container, and what you can plant in the container. Today we look at how to plant cucumbers in a container.
Tools:
Soil (try to
find a soil that is not too heavy)
24 inches wide
container (make sure it has drainage)
Water
Cucumber seeds
Planting:
Empty the soil
inside the container and make sure it is level on all sides. Make 2 inches deep
holes at 4 points of the container, put one seed in each hole, cover-up, and
water. Try to water the plant thrice a week, when the seeds sprout, cut the
weakest plant at soil level and leave the rest to grow. At 14 to 17 days of
planting, try to add quality fertilizer to the plant, do this every ten days
and you should have a great harvest of cucumber on the 60th day.
When you want to harvest make sure you cut the stem the is extremely close to the cucumber, be careful not to cut or uproot the cucumber so as to keep the growth of other cucumbers going.
