Meet Yakubu Mohammed of Kannywood

The diversity in Nigeria has given several talents opportunities to express and showcase themselves in their dialects, this has been the case of Yakubu Mohammed, he is a Nigerian Kannywood awarding-winning actor, producer, director, scriptwriter and musician, he is multi-talented personified.

Yakubu Mohammed is a professional actor, he was born on the 25^th of March in the year 1973, as of 2021he is 48 years old yet you can say he looks young like fresh wine.

Although Yakubu was born in Bauchi state yet he spent most of his early years in Plateau state acquiring the early levels of education, like primary and secondary education. He furthered his tertiary education at Bayero University where he obtained a degree in Mass communication.

After school, in 1998 he went into the movie-making industry where he learned on the job, he progressed in acquiring the skill especially when it came to scriptwriting, and in production.

He made his first debut in the movie “Gabar Cikin Gida”, which was produced in 2013, this movie gave him the breakthrough in the industry, after this movie he began to get more part/roles in both  Kannywood and Nollywood movies, he has featured in over 100 movies and has recorded over 1000 songs for movies in both English and Hausa.

In much information exposed to the public, we are not aware of Yakubu’s marital status but he is assumed to be single, he has siblings and only one parent as his father died when he was just 9 years old.

Yakubu Mohammed has always played his roles well and we are in love with his personality, we are sure to see more of this business tycoon’s work in years to come.
