CAUSES:

This gas can be found in fumes produced not only in electric generators but also cars, trucks, stoves, kerosene heaters/lamps, grills, fireplaces[burning charcoal or wood] etc.

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of CO PO:SON:NG:

- Dull headache
- Dizziness
- Chest pain
- Nausea or vomiting
- Shortness of breath
- Confusion
- Blurry vision
- Loss of consciousness

Do NOT try to prove macho as you will most likely not feel different when inhaling the gas and you may not realise this until it is too late.

Be you awake, asleep, high or drunk, CO does it's job in whatever state you are and no one is excluded from the outcome of inhaling the gas conscious or un
conscious.

PREVENTION:

- ALWAYS wear designated facial mask when working with chemicals that could cause carbon monoxide poisoning
- Ensure area is well ventilated
- Install a carbon monoxide indicator/detector
- Have CO exhaust pipes checked frequently for any leakage and/or blockage
- Do not leave your CO emitting products running in an enclosed environment for too long (i.e garage)

Finally, Stay healthy, stay alive and stay safe.
