How to make crunchy Chin-Chin at the comfort of your home. Ingredients, tools and cooking procedure all listed below, Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
- Flour
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Sugar
- Egg
- Milk flavour
- Butter
- Nutmeg
- Groundnut oil
- Chilled water
- Chopping board: any clean flat surface can be used to replace this
- Rolling pin: a smooth rounded bodied bottle
- Frying pan
- Sieving spoon
- Plastic basket
- Bowl(Small and big)
- Gas cooker/Electric stove
- STEP 1: Sieve the flour, add baking powder, sugar, nutmeg and a pinch of salt. Mix them together.
- STEP 2: Add butter to it and mix with palm facing each other to get it smooth.
- STEP 3: Break eggs in a small bowl add the milk flavour and mix thoroughly.
- STEP 4: Make a well at the middle of the flour bowl, pour the egg mixture in it and add chilled water for better mixing. (Mix till it doesn't stick to the hand again.)
- STEP 5: Cut the mixed dough into small portions
- STEP 6: Pick them one after the other, place it on the chopping board and flatten it with the rolling pin.
- STEP 7: Cut out to your desired shape and sizes.
- STEP 8: Place the frying pan on a cooker allow it dry and pour the vegetable oil in it and allow it boil.
- STEP 9: Pour the cut out dough in the boiled oil, turn with sieving spoon, allow it fry till it has a golden brown colour.
- STEP 10: Sieve it out with the spoon, to the plastic basket for the oil to sieve out.
- STEP 11: Spread out in a big tray for it to cool.
- STEP 12: Pack as desired.
