Folarin Falana(aka Falz) a lawyer by profession but ventured into music due to his passion and love for entertainment. He a loving and outgoing man to be around.
He is a courageous person with profound leadership skills which led to him starting his own record label to become an independent artist/actor.
He was born in Mushin Lagos, Nigeria to a known human right activist and lawyer Femi Falana.
Falz finished his secondary school at St leo's catholic school Ikeja, Nigeria and then proceeded to finish as a Law student in University of Reading England.
He started a group in school with his friends called "The school boys" and released a mix tape titled Shakara in 2009
He released more singles in 2011-2016 which were Waz Up Guy ,High Class and Currency, Marry me, Ello bea and some other hits' song which launched his musical career.
He released his debut Album "Wazup Guy" on the 30th May 2014.
Falz 2015 Marry Me song featuring Yemi Alade earned him the best collaboration of the year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards 2015 . That same year, Falz won the Best Street Hop Artiste for the headies 2015 edition for "Ello Bea"
On the 17th of November, 2015, Falz released his second studio album, "Stories that touch”.
Falz won the Best Actor in a Comedy Series for 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Awards for his role in Jenifa's diary . He also won the Viewers Choice Best New International Act 2016 at the BET Awards.
He released a surprise album to celebrate his 27th birthday on 27th OCTOBER, 2017. The album contained 17 tracks which house hits like, "Wehdone Sir” “Something Light” and "Bhad baddo baddest". The album featured guest act like Burna Boy,Wande Coal, Davido , Olamide and Maleek berry.
Falz sued NBC in 2018 for 100 million Naira for banning his music video titled “This is Nigeria” which was inspired by Childish Gambino" This is America".
He announced via his Instagram handle on August 2020 that he is starting his own film production company, House21TB.
