Luxury

What really is luxury? When you tell some people you are going to the spa or going shopping, they classify it as luxury but is it really? Luxury can be referred to as indulging in something that is not necessary.

I would not really classify going to the spa as unnecessary, especially for anyone that travels as much as me because of my job. For a fashion enthusiast, I would not classify shopping as luxury. For a businessman such as Richard Branson or Aliko Dangote, I would not refer to having a private jet as luxury because their business requires it. They travel a lot and meet different appointments in several countries, it would be quite difficult for these men to sit in an airport with us waiting for connecting flights and experiencing cancelled flights.

I believe the word luxury is relative, what is luxury for you might not be for me. I love having my back massaged and going for a nice manicure and pedicure; as well as eating good food. For me, rather than splashing money on designer bags or shoe; I would rather eat in an expensive restaurant.

So, I think we should refrain from judging people’s lifestyle. Each to his own! However, never use all ten fingers to eat; meaning do not squander all on "luxury".
