Sango Festival !!
Sango was a notorious and bravery warrior during his lifetime. He was the third Alaafin of OYO Monarch, who ruled Old Oyo Empire for 7 years after succeeding to his older brother Ajaka the weaker king.
Sango is one of the most popular Orisa in Yorubaland made his festival play a major role in Yoruba culture. The festival is a weekly event held in Alaafin of Oyo palace is parked with lots of activities and traditional games e.g Ayo games.
The second and third day of the festival is called "Ogun Ajobo" and "Obakoso day" where we see a different type of traditional groups from Ondo, Ekiti. Ogun, Kwara state, Igunu, Honolulu and the rest display cultural dance and drama to enlightened and make the visitor happy.
The Sango shrine is always opened on the fourth day where we see a wide range of celebration by musician and theatre art practitioner displaying their talents to the crowd and visitors.
The Grande Finale of the events always end with the groups called "Elegun Sango" they will entertain the people with a lot of magic tricks and fire frightening display.
