Funmi Martins, Things You Probably Didn't Know About Her.

Funmi Martins was one of the most talented actress Nigeria ever had in her time. She acted in both English and Yoruba movies. Her death in the year 2002 shook the movie industry especially the Yoruba Nollywood industry. In remembrance of her, we give you 4 factual information the public is probably oblivious of.

1) Birth: Funmi was born in the town called Ilesha, In the month of September year 1963, her day of birth is still unknown to even us, only close relatives can disclose this.

2) Education: She attended Oke-Ona Primary and Secondary School in Abeokuta and furthered for a Diploma in Secretarial Studies at Beepo Secretarial Institute.

3) Job: After her Secretarial studies, she did a few jobs in the entertainment industry which included modelling, before venturing into acting.

Funmi got her first acting job in the year 1993. The movie was titled Nemesis which was directed by Fidelis Dakar.

4) Death: Funmi Martins departed on the 6th of May 2002. She had complained of chest pain and dizziness before going to bed on the 5th of May for was discovered dead on the morning of the 6th of May. It was a sad day for friends, family, and her fans.

Although many people only know Mide Martins as Funmi Martins daughter, who is also an actress, Funmi Martins had two other sons (Ayo & Akanbi) her demise.

Although it's been 19years now since Funmi's sudden death, she is still loved and cherished by family, friends, and fans left behind.
