An investor is one who expects returns from a capital (or financial) commitment.
There are two main categories of investors:
- Passive-Investors: These are dependent investors who inherit or walk their way up the ladder and mostly depend on other people's success.
Under the above-mentioned categories, six (6) distinct investor personality types have been identified and these include;
- Cautious Investors: These types value security over financial gains and avoid high risk.
- Emotional Investors: These types invest based on how they feel and ignore any rational thought or opinion.
- Technical Investors: These types work with facts only.
- Busy Investors: They are constantly being nosey for every information that ensures they are always in the market, you can call them greedy or obsessed investors.
- Casual Investors: These are the laid back investors direct opposite of busy investors who believe in the power of patience and are more likely to have fund managers that have proven themselves.
- Informed Investors: These are the grounded investors that leave no investment information unturned before making a decision.
