Instead of gossips and controversial information about actors and actresses, we are more focused on what makes these talents special. In this article, we are going to mention 5 actors and actresses that are amazing at what they do, although they seem invisible, in fact, they can be called the underdog, yet they are taking Nollywood by storm and we've got to watch out for them.

1) Deyemi Okanlawan: His name might not ring a bell but definitely his face and acting will stick to your heart. Deyemi got noticed in the industry around the year 2013 thanks to the short film titled Blink. His extraordinary performance in the movie open several opportunities for him which he accepted with open arms. since 2013 till date, Deyemi has featured in about 30 movies, which one could proudly boast of. Why is he an underdog then? why does he seem like a new face every time he features in a movie?. 

Well, we can assume it's because he keeps his life out of drama, and sticks to his job. The call to watch out for him goes without saying, although he seems to have achieved what many upcoming actors dream to achieve, it is obvious he wants to reach for the stars. As of 2021 Okanlawaon has featured in at least 3 blockbuster movies, yet one could always ask "who is this guy?" when he comes on the screen, which is pretty cool, it is one way the audience can never get tired of seeing his face on their screen. Watch out for Deyemi Okanlawon guys, he is going somewhere and he is focused on it.

2) Jemima Osunde: Jemima is a special kind of actress, she can be seen as subtle and gentle yet she acts pretty well. In this article, we tag Jemima as one of the underdog actresses that you should watch out for. Her acting in most of the movies she has featured in has been phenomenal, her baby face makes her pass for someone who is younger in several movies. 

Jemima started acting in the year 2014, and she began to receive recognition through one of her first movies titled Stellar. Since her debut, she has featured in about 20 movies and some series, which certainly you have been able to see. Her work is applaudable in the industry yet it seems she's not where she's meant to be yet. given the opportunity, we believe Jemima is an underdog that can take over soon.

3) Akah Nnani: When talking about Akah, you'll probably remember him for his Youtube vlogs which have about 38k subscribers, by the way, not specifically for his amazing acting skills. The young Actor, Tv presenter, and Vlogger is one of the Nollywood underdogs which you should look out for at least for the next 5 years.

Akah Nnani began working in his career in 2014 working with one of the prominent Tv stations in Nigeria as an entertainment presenter. Akah featured in his first movie/ TVs series One chance in the year 2015 which opened doors to many opportunities in the Nigerian movie for him. since 2015 till date, Akah has featured in about 10 movies, recently he starred in one of Nollywood's 2021 blockbusters which the audience can testify that his acting was phenomenal. surely Akah is set to receive more opportunities in the film industry and if he accepts, we are going to miss him in the underdog rank.

4) Toni Tones: Anthonia Gbemi Adefuye AKA Toni Tones is one of Nollywood's multitalented, she is an actress, photographer, and musician. Although she ventured into the Nigerian entertainment industry in 2009 after relocating from the UK, Toni did not get into movies till some years back. 

Landing her first role in a Nigerian series in 2014. Toni went to appear on several contents on our screens. From 2014 till date, Tone has featured in about 10 moves, most of which became blockbusters. Seeming as a good year for most actors and actresses Tone also featured in a blockbuster in 2021, acting alongside one of Nollywood's best Sola Sobowale. watch out for Toni Tone she might not be an underdog for much longer.

5) Nancy Isime: Nancy Isime is a Tv personality, Model, and Nollywood actress, she is known for her pretty face and undeniable acting skills. We have selected Nancy as one of the underdogs to watch out for because since she began acting some years back it's been undeniable that she has the talent to take Nollywood by storm.

Nancy had to first role through the movie Road To Yesterday, there have been so many opportunities Nancy has harness after this movie since 2015 till now the phenomenal actress has featured in about 30 movies and in 2021 she has featured in some extraordinary movies also. She's an actress who has the tendency to climb the Alist actress ladder and she is doing that fast, watch out for her.
