1) The stage name Rolling dollar cleaved to the late legend's chest like it was his heart. People have barely given a second thought to if it was his real name or not. Interestingly it was only his stage, Dollar's real name is Olayiwola Fati Olagunju.
2) Born on the 22nd of July 1927, as at the time of his death on the 12th of June 2013, Dollar aged 85, at least he lived to a full life.
3) Rolling Dollar started his music career professionally In the year 1953, as at that time he was just 26 years of age.
4) 25 years into his career between the year 1978-1979, vandalists called "unknown soldiers" destroyed his life career, his musical instruments and equipment were destroyed, including his then Peugeot 404 car. Since the incident, his life and career were placed on a long pause.
5) After his downfall, Rolling Dollar tried to make a living through other means. He eventually became a security guard for Teslim Balogun stadium before he got attacked by thieves on duty some years into the job.
6) Changing jobs in the security industry Dollar was able to get back into music by saving from his earns. He was able to get some of his instruments and pieces of equipment back.
7) The legend released his first album in the year 1960 which he titled Oluwa L'oluso Aguntan mi, thereafter he realized several albums, most of which were hits.
8) Few years before his death, Rolling Dollar's name made it into the Guinness World Book of Records for being the Oldest Musician still performing.
