Nigeria Tourism: Erin-Ijesa Water Fall.

Erin-Ijesha waterfall (also known as Olumirin waterfall at Oriade local government in Osun state is said to have been discovered in 1140 After the death of Christ, by Oduduwa’s daughter. Other stories have stated that it was discovered by a group of hunters but no matter what the story says the facts remain that it was found around the same time.

The waterfall has seven levels to its height and it will take a tourist about 40mins to climb up and come down. This tourist attraction is suitable for picnics and very careful hiking. The serenity of the environment lifts the soul and gives one a sense of freedom; you can even take showers on the first level of the waterfall.

The gate fee is just 500naira; this is for both adults and children. If you stay in Osun state take a trip to the sites and if you don't, make sure to add it to list of must-visit places.
